An Ontario court justice told a young Chatham man that child pornography "is not a comic strip" during his resolution hearing Tuesday.

"There are real-life victims there. Every time these are traded, victims are re-victimized," said Justice Lucy Glenn.

Kurtis Harding, 19, of Tweedsmuir Avenue pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.

Glenn sentenced Harding to 14 days in custody, to be served on weekends, and one year probation. Harding will be listed on the sex offender registry for 10 years.

Harding was arrested during a Chatham-Kent police Internet child pornography sweep in December 2010.

Assistant Crown attorney Fred Creed told court police executed a search warrant on Dec. 29, 2010 and seized two laptops.

An analysis of the hard drives produced one small movie file that was downloaded using common software.

"I don't think you'll see Mr. Harding before the court again," said defence attorney David Jacklin.
