First, Gilles Simard's girlfriend gave him “sh-t” for his extensive collection of child pornography, then in came the cops.

Simard, 56, pleaded guilty Thursday to one count each of possessing and distributing child pornography. 

In July 2010, he worked as a dispatcher for a company that transports children, according to an agreed statement of facts. He was also an anonymous figure distributing child sex videos on a peer-to-peer network.

The explicit titles gained police attention on July 18 and Aug. 24. Ottawa cops downloaded parts of the videos, traced his IP address and, on Aug. 26, showed up at his Orleans home.

Simard was out, but his girlfriend told cops she'd given him “sh-t” for photos she had seen of “sick stuff … kids.” Simard returned home to find officers executing a search warrant and he was arrested.

Cops seized his computer and found 24,640 child porn films, featuring infants, preteens and adolescents. The videos showed orgiastic scenes of children having sex with adults and being forcibly penetrated by objects.

He also had 5,532 photos. 

Simard's sentencing is set for July 26.
