A former security officer at the Calgary Court Centre returned to his former place of employment on Wednesday but this time it was under very different circumstances.

Daniel Thomas Mackie, 25, pleaded guilty to multiple child pornography related charges.

He originally faced 77 charges that were allegedly committed against 21 victims between the ages of 11 and 16 years old.

ALERT was tipped off by multiple sources and police say each complaint was filed separately.

Mackie contacted the victims between November 2007 and July 2011 through their social media accounts.

He was working as a security guard at the Calgary Court Centre when the offences happened and used both his home and work computers to gain access to his victim’s online accounts.

He pleaded guilty to multiple charges including extortion, luring, making, accessing and distributing child pornography.

Daniel Mackie will be back in court for sentencing on November 14, 2012.
